What you will do:
- Oversee and coordinate the development and accurate completion of the MDS in accordance with current RAI processes, Federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team and monitor clinical documentation to provide accurate and timely MDS scheduling and completion.
- Partner with IDT to evaluate Quality Measures.
- Review completed MDS assessments for accuracy, to include utilizing MDS software to review any coding inconsistencies and opportunities, prior to locking MDS assessments.
- Facilitate MDS electronic submission to occur per State regulations.
- Participates in family/resident care plan conferences.
We are looking for detail-oriented nurses who are team players, with:
- Active RN licensure to work in Maryland (Maryland or Compact State).
- 3+ years’ experience as an MDS-Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator to include ICD-10 coding experience.
- Progressive nursing experience preferably in a resident assessment environment.
- Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient understanding of PDPM and clinical documentation requirements.
- Ability to build positive relationships and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team.
- A willingness to both learn and teach, with adaptability to make changes when needed.
- In-depth experience and knowledge with PDPM and CMI as related to Medicare and Medicaid service reimbursements.
